The exhibition "Two Sides"

In the last two years we received more than 300 applications for participation in the event SWAN Day Berlin from countries as far spread as Japan, Peru, Canada, Finland and Tunisia.

Especially when put next to each other, the concepts submitted showed the huge and fascinating range of ideas, working methods and convictions of today's women artists.

While we're not able to present each of these exciting works in Berlin, we want to bring attention to them.

We did so with the "Two Sides" exhibition at SWAN Day Berlin 2010.

We invited women artists from all disciplines to present their work on two pages – one page in text form, the second page containing picture material.

These concepts and ideas were displayed at SWAN Day Berlin 2010 on March 27 – 28, 2010 in an exhibition put together by Shannon Sullivan and Joey Juschka of Performance Lab Berlin.

"Two Sides" ran parallel to the performances of SWAN Day Berlin 2010, in the same building of ada/ mimecentrum in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg.

For two days, visitors of SWAN Day Berlin 2010 seized the possibility to view the exhibited concepts, ideas and work approaches.

Many noted down the contact details of the -> artists whose work interested them.
